How To Brew Hard Cider

Almost as awesome as mead, we love a nice chilled homemade cider! And it’s easy to brew cider with this simple and easy tutorial for the beginner homebrewer – how to make hard cider! This recipe is as simple as it gets – you’re essentially just pitching yeast into apple juice.

The full recipe –

5 Gallons of PRESERVATIVE FREE apple cider
5 Cans of Frozen Apple Juice Concentrate
1 Ounce of Fermax Yeast Nutrient
1 Packet of SafCider or Cider House Select Yeast

Mix all ingredients together, pitch yeast, install airlock and wait a week or two. After fermentation finishes, bottle with one and a half cans of frozen apple juice concentrate.

OG: 1.063
FG: 1.004
ABV: 7.75%
