Ingredients:
– 1 Gal. of filtered water
– 1 Cup of organic cane sugar
– 12 organic green tea bags
– 1 SCOBY
Will also need about 12 to 16 ounces of the previous brew as a starter… but not necessary. I have brewed with only a cup.
Instructions:
1. Place water in pot and place on stove at med to med/hi.
2. Dissolve sugar while heating.
3. Bring water to boil.
4. Remove from heat and steep tea for about 15 minutes.
5. Remove tea bags.
6. Let cool to room temperature.
7. Pour into glass container.
8. Place SCOBY and starter kombucha tea from previous batch.
9. Cover opening with breathable cloth to avoid anything from entering the batch and allowing it to breathe.
10. Place in dark place and do not disturb for 10 to 14 days.
11. Keep temperature between 70 and 80.
I use organic ingredients, but you can use conventional as well with the exact same results.
