Achieve a clearer, crisper home-brewed Oktoberfest (or any style) with cold crashing! This technique is performed after fermentation, before bottling. It helps with sediment separation for improved clarity AND a cleaner finish. Exactly what you want in an Oktoberfest, lager or other crispy boi! 🍻
Simply store your carboy in the fridge for 3-5 days to allow the cold temp to shock yeast and other sediment out of suspension. We recommend filling the airlock with fresh water first in case of “suck back.” Gently remove from the fridge so you don’t stir up sediment. Bottle as usual.
