Cold Crashing Technique for Clearer #Homebrew Beers

Homebrew Beer Kits
Achieve a clearer, crisper home-brewed Oktoberfest (or any style) with cold crashing! This technique is performed after fermentation, before bottling. It helps with sediment separation for improved clarity AND a cleaner finish. Exactly what you want in an Oktoberfest, lager or other crispy boi! 🍻

Simply store your carboy in the fridge for 3-5 days to allow the cold temp to shock yeast and other sediment out of suspension. We recommend filling the airlock with fresh water first in case of β€œsuck back.” Gently remove from the fridge so you don’t stir up sediment. Bottle as usual.
