Meet a cider maker 1 year into her hobby

Homebrew Cider
🍎 Meet Diana! She’s been making cider for just over a year.

She got started with 1 gallon batches and scaled up 5 gallons for a brew club serving event. Within a year of making her first batch, she entered a huge competition won a medal her Ice Cider!

Diana mostly uses store-bought juice, but she’s also pressed her own apples with a crusher and press. Her approach is practical: if she wants a specific apple character, like Granny Smith, she’ll use store-bought as the base and blend in a half gallon of freshly pressed juice to dial in the flavor.

If you’ve been considering cider making as a hobby, just do it! Diana encourages you to experiment and just see what happens.
