This is Part 1 of the kombucha-making process where we make the tea base, add sugar and introduce the magical SCOBY!
🧃 Ingredients used in this video:
– 4 cups of water (to boil)
– 3 teaspoons of black tea leaves
– 3 teaspoons of sugar (for the SCOBY to feed on)
– 8 additional cups of room-temperature water
– 1 healthy SCOBY (you can buy it or get one from a fellow brewer)
👩🍳 That’s it!
We covered the jar with a breathable cloth and left it to ferment for 10 to 15 days in a quiet corner. It’s easy, fun and totally worth trying especially if you love fizzy, gut-friendly drinks!
