Home Brew: Apple and Blueberry Cider 9.2% ABV (Turbo Cider Method) Full Film From Recipe to Tasting – https://youtu.be/1ucw0p_7M10 .

Hey folks, in this film I make a delicious blueberry flavoured cider using apple juice from concentrate in the turbo cider style, along with blueberry flavours from MyProtein Flavdrops.

The recipe is as follows:
1. Make a pan of boiling tea with four the bags and 500 ml of water.
2. Add 2 litres of apple juice into the fermentation vessel along with three full pipettes of the MyProtein Blueberry flavour.
3. Add the the third litre of apple juice into the fermentation vessel.
4. Take the tea bags out of the saucepan and add 300g of brewing sugar into the tea, stirring until it dissolves.
5. Add the tea into the fermentation vessel.
6. Add the fourth litre of apple juice into the fermentation vessel.
7. Add the yeast into the fermentation vessel, I used a mixture of bulldog cider yeast and Lalvin EC1118 Champagne, sparkling wine and cider yeast.

The cider began fermenting with an original gravity of 1.064. Fermentation lasted for 7 weeks in total, which also allowed the cider to clear, so it was bottled without adding finings to it. The final gravity of the cider was 0.994, giving a final alcohol by volume (ABV) of 9.2%.

At bottling, the cider was back flavoured with another pipette of the Blueberry Flavdrops, along with a heaped teaspoon of priming sugar.

The cider was conditioned for 3 weeks. Upon opening it had a delicious sweet and very blueberry flavour as well as a good sparkle and nice clarity.

I really enjoyed this cider and would definitely make it again in future, cheers folks!
