Imperial Oatmeal Stout (Black Is Beautiful collab) Full Brew Day & Homebrew Recipe to benefit ACLU

Homebrew Beer Recipes
Ash, Jenny, and I brewed a homebrew version of Weathered Soul’s ‘Black is Beautiful’ Imperial Oatmeal Stout and did a livestream that raised over $500 for the ACLU! This is a condensed version of that but I made sure to leave in all of the songs Jenny made up about brewing.

While I often brew solo, beer is about community and the beautiful thing about LA is how diverse our beer community is. I’m proud to be a part of homebrew clubs like @sccerveceras who advocate for inclusivity and representation. I’ll stand by them when I say: We are Anti-Racism and Pro-Homebrew! It’s not enough to say that though- we all have to work to bring positive change in our respective industries and for me, it’s through beer.

That’s why I joined San Antonio’s Weathered Soul’s Brewing initiative “Black is Beautiful,” which is a collaborative effort amongst the brewing community to bring awareness to the injustices that the black community and people of color face daily.

I encourage you to join me in donating to the ACLU if you enjoyed the video. As much as I would have loved to also run a fundraiser on YouTube, the system doesn’t allow you to do it unless you have over 100K followers.

Let’s do our part.
