Let’s take kombucha furtherĀ by tweaking one major component: replacing tea with coffee! Lo and behold, here we have a coffee kombucha recipe! One drunken night, I wondered “can you replace tea with coffee?” as I made a batch of kombucha. I quickly Googled it and to my surprise to my question: “can you make kombucha with coffee”, the answer was a resounding yes! Here we talk about about making coffee kombucha! Change up your coffee with coffee kombucha! I read up and watched videos on “how to make kombucha coffee”. I learned that making coffee kombucha, kombucha coffee, or “koffucha” (whichever phrase you might like to use) is not much different from making regular kombucha. The even better thing is that the total fermentation time that you need for fermenting coffeeĀ would be less than a week while fermentation of tea for regular kombucha usually takes about 2 weeks. Since I was already making kombucha and had a scoby in my supply, it was easy for me to put this together. Is coffee kombucha good for you? Coffee Kombucha provides the same health benefits of kombucha with its probiotic and antioxidant properties so again, this is a resounding yes! Coffee kombucha is definitely a different take and a new way to have a different cup of coffee.
