One thing i didnt talk about a lot is that you want to make sure everything is sterilized. After I clean everything out with soap and water i pour boiling water to kill any extra bacteria before I add the kombucha or scoby.

Kombucha recipe per gallon
1/4 cup strong black tea steep 5-7 minutes
1 cup sugar
1 cup purified water
1 Scoby

Once your kombucha is done (after 2-3 weeks) flavor each gallon with 1 cup of fresh juice. My favorite mix is pineapple, ginger, turmeric and lemon.
