Brew Day – Experimenting with Cider

Homebrew Cider
I’ve made cider in the past but only from kits and not with great results, so I’m going back to basics. In these I’m simply using apple juice, unfermentable sugars (splenda and equal) and one other with cinnamon and vanilla why not. They all start with …

1.4L apple juice
0.5 L water

Then the variations are …

#1 – nothing (control batch)
#2 – 15g Splenda (sucralose)
#3 – 15g Equal (aspartame)
#4 – 22(?)g Splenda (trying to go too sweet)
#5 – 15g Splenda/Equal plus cinnamon and vanilla

To see the results, check out the tasting video – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwLCdLKVhK8
