Do you love kombucha, dislike the high prices, yet are intimidated by making it at home? My method is low maintenance and very affordable. I don’t do a secondary fermentation nor do I refrigerate, so it’s not gonna get you fancy flavors and big fizz (tho feel free to improvise), but it’s deliciously bubbly and tangy and definitely improves my digestive rhythm. I use a variety of teas, both flavored and not (but always include green or black tea) and it doesn’t cost much at all to make. I use either organic sugar or my homemade maple syrup, 6 tea bags, and enough water to almost fill a half gallon jar, about a cup of kombucha and a SCOBY from the previous batch. You can see the method to my madness in the video.
Let me know if you try it!
