Homemade Kombucha | DIY Guide Part 1 (for improved gut health)

Homebrew Kombucha
Welcome back, lovely people!

In this episode we will be showing you how to brew Kombucha at home in order to help improve your overall gut health!

Kombucha is a fermented tea drink which originated in Northeast China around 220 B.C. and has been used for its healing properties.

While most commercially available carbonated drinks are artificially carbonated and loaded with sugar or sweeteners, kombucha is naturally effervescent due to undergoing a natural fermentation process! It is a live drink full of gut-friendly bacteria and yeast derived from a SCOBY!

A SCOBY is a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast, and even though this might not sound very appetising, you have got to give kombucha a try and your gut will definitely thank you for it! At the end of the day, if you like other fermented foods such as kefir, sauerkraut or brine pickles, you will most likely love the taste of kombucha as a healthy carbonated drink!
