How to flavor kombucha | second fermentation | home brewed kombucha

Homebrew Kombucha
You’ve brewed your batch of booch and have watched your SCOBY double after 7-10 days, it is finally time for flavor and bottle your booch!

This is always my favorite part of brewing kombucha because this is what makes booch so delicious and your options are endless.

flavors featured:
-strawberry puree/pieces
-canned pineapple
-ginger & lemon
-store bought mango juice (Whole Foods)

When bottling during second fermentation, always set aside at least 2 cups so that you have starter liquid for your next batch. Another option is to set aside even more liquid to start a SCOBY hotel.

I like to bottle with 2 different sized bottles:
the large ones (34 oz) for my favorite flavors
and the smaller ones (16 oz, standard GT bottle) for experimenting new flavors and for bringing to work/on the go.

Remember, don’t open your bottles before they have been chilled (unless you want them to explode).

What are some of your favorite flavor combos? Let me know down below!

Stay tuned for more kombucha videos 🙂
