Making a gallon of hard cider at home is simple and takes less than 10 minutes! This recipe is super easy and is the basis of https://www.HomeCiderMaking.com

To make hard apple cider you will need the following:

1 Gallon of apple cider
Carboy with airlock: http://amzn.to/2BWVq0g
Hydrometer with test cylinder: http://amzn.to/2FB7Eev
Yeast: http://amzn.to/2EXkmHH
Yeast Nutrient: http://amzn.to/2FAamAY
Sanitizer: http://amzn.to/2EZgupH

Steps to make hard apple cider:
1. Clean and sanitize all equipment
2. Take a hydrometer reading
3. Add ingredients to the carboy
4. Install the airlock
5. Wait for fermentation to begin

In the next video I will talk about the final process:

After a week to two weeks, the cider should be fully fermented. Take a hydrometer reading to confirm that fermentation has ended and to get a final gravity reading. A final gravity reading is needed to calculate the ABV of the cider.

Rack the cider into a clean carboy to remove the yeast and sediment that is on the bottom of the fermentor.

Age the cider in the secondary fermentor until it clears and then bottle the cider. Before bottling the cider you can back sweeten to your desired sweetness level as the cider will probably be dry depending on the yeast used and amount of sugar in the original juice.
