Recipe:
21 tea bags OR 2/3 cup loose-leaf tea (kombucha approved varieties only)
5 cups sugar
Water
The original recipe I used when I started had nearly double the amount of sugar, which was not necessary. My taste buds do however say… much less than 5 cups of sugar and the kombucha is going to be too sour. Your buds may differ. Adjust accordingly. Just don’t starve the bacteria.
